The SRS Vidya Mandir Story

S.K. Educational Trust was established in memory of Sri. S. Kailasam and Smt. Sarathambal Kailasam of Vedaranyam on 20-02-2003 by their daughter Mrs. Sarojini Rajendren, wife of Mr. S. Rajendren, who was closely associated with the Rajah of Chettinad family for nearly four decades and served as Personal Secretary to Dr. Ramaswamy, former Pro-Chancellor of Annamalai University.

Realising that education is the most valuable, permanent wealth, Sri. S. Kailasam established a new Government High School with 18 students on 12-09-1993 at Thethakudi South, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District — bringing quality education to every corner of the village. In his memory, his wife Smt. Sarathambal Kailasam endowed the S.K. Govt. High School.
